The opposition

Rossvale currently sit in sixth place in SWPL 2, just one position and two points behind Boroughmuir Thistle. They have, however, played one match extra due to Ayr United vs Boroughmuir being postponed last month.

From their opening nine games so far, Rossvale have picked up two wins, registered two draws, and suffered five losses. They have conceded 26 goals in the process - the third highest tally in the division and over double the number of goals shipped by the Thistle defence.

On their most recent outing, though, Rossvale picked up a solid point at home to St Johnstone thanks to a late equaliser, with Jemma McQuillan earning a spot in the SWPL Team of the Week as a result.

Thistle will therefore know that they’re in for a tough game and simply cannot afford another slip up or risk being drawn into the relegation zone.

Previous meetings

Sunday will mark the third time the two sides have met so far this season, having faced each other on consecutive September weekends in both the Sky Sports Cup and league.

Thistle ran out 4-1 victors in the cup tie at Meadowbank which earned them a place in the second round, before heading to Kirkintilloch the following Sunday and securing a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Leni Parrish and Cara Borthwick.
