We were in Dundee for another crucial game against Dundee United, they were looking to break our unbeaten streak while we were looking to extend it.
First Half
Things started intense from the first blow of the whistle as United intercepted many passes to go for goal early in this game, but both teams looked determined to get the first goal.
Boroughmuir had some offsides in really good places to maybe create a chance but also on the other side of the pitch we seen United getting close but the defensive work of the team kept the ball out of the Thistle net, but then a chance would come in the 26th minute and it was goal for the women in purple and by no other then Carys Grieve, who gets her second goal of the season.
Back in position to kick off after Grieve’s goal and you can see United looking frantic as they try to get the ball up the pitch for a goal, but one yellow would be their nightmare as their No 13 would be shown the yellow and as if that wasn’t enough, Adian Ibrahim scored her second goal of the season also which put them comfortably up two by half time.
Second Half 0-2
The second half starts as intense as the first half as dundee is trying to steal the win from Boroughmuir, they do get close by having a couple of close calls, but the defending work continues to be particularly good from the thistle.
A yellow is shown to Ibrahim after a dangerous move and a few minutes later Ria McCafferty is subbed off for Lia Young and she gets stuck into the game to help the team keep their comfortable lead lead, the game keeps it intensity and soon Adian Ibrahim taken off and, in her place, Emily Arthur.
In the end of the game, two yellow cards are shown, one to Lucy Stevenson of Dundee United and Holly Aitchison and a minute later, Holly is subbed off for Abbie Maguire and the game comes to an end with another win for the women in purple.
Full time 0-2
