Boroughmuir Thistle is excited to share with supporters that defender Amy Forbes has joined the club for the forthcoming season!
The 20-year-old links up with the Meadowbank side on a one-year deal having enjoyed eight years in the youth set-up at city neighbours Heart of Midlothian.
An aggressive centre back, Forbes makes the step up to senior football for season 2024/25 and will strengthen the spine of the Boroughmuir team alongside fellow new signing ‘keeper Toni Harkness.
Upon the completion of the deal, Forbes commented: “I am so happy to be signing for Boroughmuir, they're such a great group of girls who made it so easy to come into the team!
“Everyone has a determination to win and we know we want to push for promotion this season, which makes it even more exciting to be a part of!”
Forbes’ recent comeback from injury stood out to Thistle Head Coach Andy Enwood who said:
“Amy's resilience to return from a serious injury in the condition she has displays a mentality that we want at Boroughmuir Thistle.
“Amy has a number of qualities required to be a really effective centre back and we are looking forward to helping Amy progress with this work.”
