Boroughmuir Thistle is pleased to announce that Robin Gallagher has joined the club on a permanent contract ahead of the 2024/25 season getting underway on Sunday!
The 24-year-old winger links up with the Meadowbank side following a transfer from last year’s SWPL 2 winners Queen’s Park, and the move marks a return to the club Gallagher previously spent 11 years representing.
Gallagher has also played for Glasgow Women and Stirling University - clubs Thistle fans will be familiar with - during the course of her career.
The winger already knows what it takes to win this highly-competitive league, and as such her experience will be invaluable as the Thistle squad seeks to achieve their promotion aims.
After completing her move to Boroughmuir, Gallagher said: “I am really excited to be back playing with Boroughmuir where I was previously for 11 years.
“All the girls and staff have been really welcoming and I’m just looking forward to seeing what the season brings.”
Head Coach Andy Enwood commented: “In a short space of time, Robin's willingness to engage with our intended game model has been impressive.
“Successfully altering her performance based on feedback has convinced me Robin has the attitude we are looking for at Boroughmuir Thistle.
“Robin brings with her experience from winning SWPL 2 last season and she will be a valuable point of advice for many of our players.”
